LARISSA PROUSE, BCOM

Larissa is a savvy expert whose unique background enhances the real estate scene in Edmonton. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Karaganda State University in Kazakhstan, a country that is now the hub of Central Asian investment, mining, oil production, banking, and trade, easily the most-successful country to emerge out of the Soviet Union. She started her career in the banking sector, where she honed her analytical skills and financial acumen. Recognizing her talent, her no-nonsense manner, her fortitude, and her intellect, she was quickly recruited into the burgeoning energy sector, where she became the financial director of several divisions of a major player in Kazakhstan's energy business. She was the CFO of a professional soccer team, auditor for large, mechanical and industrial purchases, and advisor to the board of directors and owners.

Larissa relocated to Canada in 2007, bringing her strong understanding of complex financial structures and market dynamics to our province's powerhouse market. Taking a different path, she became a landlord and obtained hands-on property management expertise. As Larissa became ever more inculcated into the world of commercial real estate investment, her skills from her past career shone through to many people apprehensive of investing and property management as a tool to build wealth and to grow and stabilize community. This dual perspective - one as a professional financial analyst and as an investor-manager - allows her to guide clients through every aspect of the commercial real estate process, making the difficulties of investment analysis and property management understandable and accessible to clients both big and small.

In addition to real estate, Larissa is a passionate cook, having been featured on a top cooking blog in Alberta. Larissa enjoys sport, and is often found hiking, cross-country skiing, and bicycle-riding through the river valley, depending on the season. She spends most of her free energy, however, with her family and her son, shuttling him around to various events and venues, and ensuring that the three-generation household she keeps is in tip-top working order. Fluent in Russian, she is effective with a wide range of clients, ensuring clear communication and personalized service. She is passionate about helping people with a similar lifestyle navigate the ever-changing market landscape with confidence and achieve real estate success.
